Question by .: who has gone to AA meetings?
Why did you attend? Was your drinking harming people?
I know that I have a drinking problem but I don’t think I am so far gone to go to meetings. Are there people that go even though there drinking doesn’t exactly affect other people, or their jobs, or that they don’t ever get in trouble because of their drinking?
Just wanting to know. No need for getting down on me. If I really wanted to quit, I am sure I could do it on my own. Perhaps could be more successful with AA but then don’t really want to be there and people think that I shouldn’t be there…..that I don’t really have a problem.

If you know you have a drinking problem, then you need to do something about it. What you have said here is nothing more than rationalizing your reasons for not wanting to get the help you need.
