The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) is a United States federal government research institute. Their mission is to lead the Nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction.
According to notes released by NIDA Director Dr. Alan I. Leshner in the September 2000 issue of Director’s Column:
“Remarkable research and technological advances in the past two decades have proved that brain disruption and damage play central roles in the consequences of drug abuse and addiction. Knowing the nature of a problem, of course, opens the way for systematic attempts to fix it. Thus, today, finding ways to restore normal brain function after it has been changed by drugs is a main goal of NIDA research.
[…]
Ultimately, researchers envision a two-stage process for helping restore drug abusers’ impaired abilities. Interventions will be used first to stop ongoing brain damage and repair damaged brain cells, and then to retrain the brain. The rationale for this approach is that repairing the brain first will restore lost mental resources and capacities that patients then can apply in further treatment.”

Hi there –
It may not be “out”!
I am licensed in 2 states, My suggestion is going to be to contact your state Board of Nursing and ask them. If the felony was drug -related, and you can show evidence of recovery, they may have you complete a “Recovery Monitoring Agreement” where you agree to random urine screens and provide documentation that you are working on recovery. There are multiple instances of people that appear before the Board because they have answered “YEs” to license questions like “Have you ever been treated for drug or alcohol abuse” or “Have you been convicted of a crime other than a minor traffic violation?”.
The only folks that would know for sure would be your state board – contact them at http://www.ncbon.com/
If the felony is for other reasons, I have seen people mandated to take anger management classes and all types of things.

Question by Analise: What is the best hair removal cream for facial hair?
It’s prom season and so all the “beautification treatments” have started. I started a weekly egg-white facial last night, which surprisingly works wonders.
Anyways, I have a small mustache. I’m REALLY pale, and the hairs are light, so it’s not very noticeable unless I’m wearing make-up and in direct sunlight. Still, I’m fairly self conscious about it and I want it gone, but I’m a big baby. My ears aren’t even pierced.
So which is the best cream to remove facial hair? Nair or Veet? Or some unknown substance that you’ve tried and found to work miracles?

I don’t recommend using depilatory creams on your face in case of a chemical burn or a reaction. That area is very sensitive and you will be really upset if that happens before prom.
Go and see a GOOD esthetician and have it waxed a week before prom. It really does not hurt that much, it’s so quick you don’t notice it happening.
Hope this helps!

Question by Megan Avery Halcom: How old in the state of California do you have to be to get a medical marijuana card (with parent consent)?
I turn 16 in March and im moving to California soon and I have extreme anxiety/panic attacks and I suffer from bulimia. I’ve found out that when I smoke weed and get “stoned” I tend to calm down a lot and im able to eat without my body rejecting the food. (I AM NOT TRYING TO GET A CARD TO “ABUSE” SMOKING MARIJUANA I ONLY SMOKE ON OCCASION AS IT ISN’T MY FAVORITE THING IN THE WORLD TO DO.) It’s just that I have tried almost every medication there is for my ‘problems’ and the only thing that seems to really help is smoking. Please no rude comments I am trying to go about this in a mature way. (:
