Question by Kris: Is there such a thing as semi-assisted living for younger adults in wheelchairs?
Hi everyone. I’m searching for some sort of semi-assisted living. I can usually function okay although I’m stuck in this dang wheelchair. Well, actually the “dang” chair is the thing that keeps me mostly independent. My issue is that I still think I depend on my family (parents) too much. My other issue is that I don’t need full time care, nor do I want to be put in a “retirement facility”. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!
Thanks for the Cheshire Homes info! I googled them, & found the info to be very helpful. 🙂

I noticed this was posted on the american Yahoo, so not sure how useful this is going to be but ill try 🙂 Over in the UK we have independent living schemes where people can live as independent as they can but also have 24/7 staff on hand to help when needed. It might be an idea to go to a disability charity and ask. Im sure therell be something somewhere 🙂 Hope this helps.
